Rochelle Wert & Family

meet Rochelle

I was born in Alma, Michigan but grew up all over as a Military brat. My dad was in the Marine Corps and tragically passed away in 2007. This brought us back home to Michigan to be closer to family.

After years of enjoying cooking and baking at home for family, I decided I wanted to make a career out of it. In high school, I landed one of my first jobs at a cupcake bakery which allowed me to experience the real world of business at such a young age.

Determined to learn more, I got accepted into Johnson and Wales University of Providence, Rhode Island where I graduated with 2 degrees: Associates Degree in Baking & Pastry Arts and Bachelors Degree in Hospitality & Food Service Management.

From there I moved back to the coast of North Carolina, a place that has been home to me before as a military child. I have 10+ years of experience in this field here on the coast, and was inspired to create a business of my own. This was the beginning of Crystal Coast Desserts.

Rochelle is a true professional who puts her heart and soul into her baking and interaction with her clients. The cake she baked for our Reaffirmation of the Marriage Covenant Reception was not only beautiful, but so delicious! It was quite the hit with our guests. The Gluten-Free Red Velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing made our gluten-free guests very happy! I will be calling on you again... soon! Many thanks to Rochelle of Crystal Coast Desserts for helping make our celebration special!

Holy cow. Words don't even begin to describe the explosion of ecstasy your taste buds experience after biting into one of these creations. I've had blueberry cheesecake, pecan pie, handmade chocolates, chocolate mousse cake, and a plethora of other tasty treats. AMAZING!
